Social Nation building…

I’ll admit it, I thought this was going to be another book about how to harness Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn to grow your business, because after all, that’s the Holy Grail of book publishing right now, right?

Well I got it wrong - way wrong.   Barry Libert takes us through a great exercise on how to truly harness the power of Social Nations to grow your business in the 21st century.  And guess what, some of the social networking actually takes place OFFLINE!

He just gets it right…happy employees make happy customers.  In in order to create happy employees, you have to engage them and create an authentic community that supports each other and takes advantage of the mass of potential alive in each of them.   Online social networks can play a big role, but they are really just tools in the arsenal of Social Nation building.

Once you get that right, then it’s on to the customers - harnessing their collective power to become the biggest and best advertising vehicle your company can have…trusted word-of-mouth recommendations.

If you really want to harness the power of building a Social Nation inside and outside your organization, this is a must read.
